Discover Scuba Diving: USD $60 (1 day)

This introductory program lets you try scuba diving under the supervision of a PADI instructor to 12 meters. No experience necessary.

PADI Scuba Diver: USD $250 (2 days)

Ideal for those with limited time. This course involves 3 modules of theory.

1 day of confined pool training.

2 open water dives up to 12 meters.

You will receive a permanent license that lets you dive to 12 meters under the supervision of a dive master or instructor.

This license is valid worldwide.

You can upgrade this certification to the Open Water diver level at any time.

PADI Open Water Course: USD $350 (4 days).

Become a certified diver!

Receive a permanent diving license to a maximum depth of 18 meters, valid worldwide.

Course involves diving theory, video presentation, confined water pool training.

Four fun boat dives on Gili's amazing reefs.

Equipment rental, PADI Open Water Manual, certification, logbook and Blue Marlin T-Shirt are all included

PADI Advanced Open Water: US $ 275

Once you complete your PADI Open Water Course, you want to continue your diving education with the PADI Adventure/Advanced Open Water Course.

This course takes 1-2 days and involves 3/5 dives.

Spending time in the water taking your skills to the next level is what this program is all about. There are two core dives, navigation and the deep dive. When you complete one extra elective dive you will be certified at the Adventure diver level.

When you complete three extra elective dives you will receive the Advanced Open water certification.

You can choose from the following elective dives: naturalist, night, multi-level, drift, boat, photography, search and recovery and the fun underwater scooter dive.

Upon completion of this course you will be more comfortable underwater and have a better understanding of the aquatic world.


PADI Rescue Diver course: $350

The PADI rescue diver course is a challenging & informative course that will build your confidence as a recreational diver. 3-4 days of intensive classroom and in-water rescue training will be both fun and rewarding for all divers. Students will complete 12 Open Water Training Exercises which emphasize a divers ability to be flexible and adapt to personal and environmental conditions. In the end, all 12 exercises will practiced in real-life scenarios.

By the end of the course you will have expanded your knowledge of diving, increased your level of diving skill and be more aware of what is happening in the diving environment.

Most importantly, rescue training can help you to save lives and increase safety by preparing you to properly respond to diving emergencies.

Dive master Internship Programmed:

Blue Marlin's philosophy on Dive master Training is the best way to learn is to experience how a dive centre operates on a day-to-day basis, not just reading books and doing simulated exercises, but by actually helping the instructor train real students in there diving courses


Course outline - Dive master Internship Program
Knowledge Development - covers the following topics : the roles & characteristics of a Dive master, supervising general diving activities, assisting with student divers in training, dive theory introduction, physic of diving, physiology of diving, dive equipment, decompression theory & the RDP, dive master conducted programs, the business of diving & your diving career.

Assignment
You must prepare an emergency assistance plan detailing the proper procedures to follow in the event of a diving related accident ( relevant to the local environment ). Prepare a map of a local dive site offering useful information for those unfamiliar with the area i.e. topography, depths, entry/exit points, etc.

Water skills& stamina
In this module, you will perfect your confined water skills to demonstration level, improve your waterman ship ability & practice a rescue scenario.

Practical Application

Equipment Exchange
under water, you will exchange all diving equipment with a buddy. This will improve self-confidence and equipment familiarity.

Dive master Conducted Program
You will conduct a real student training session under the direct supervision of a PADI instructor.

Dive master Internship

The purpose of this section is to enable the candidate to work with students on a real course and help prevent, overcome, & assist with common problems they may encounter while learning to dive. You will act as an instructional assistant & your performance will be evaluated. In addition, Blue Marlin will also give you training in compressor operation, equipment repair & dive store sales - a very valuable asset to any perspective employer.

Course Time and Costs

We recommend a minimum of three to four weeks to complete the training, however, you can choose to do your Dive master between three to eight weeks. During that time you have unlimited free fun diving & you can do up to 3 dives per day, which will result in well over 60 dives by the end of the course.

Please note there is an additional fee for your PADI membership, payable directly to PADI once a year.
