Mangsit Beach - Lombok Island
Windy Beach
Cottages and Resort located at Mangsit beach, four
kilometers north of central Senggigi, the main tourist centre of
Lombok. Mangsit is now becoming an exclusive tourist area with
many boutique hotels, and Windy Beach Resort is tucked away
under the palm trees at the north end of the beach.
Despite being the first hotel along the entire north-west coast
between central Senggigi and the Gili islands, we remain one of
the best kept secrets because of our quiet ambience and next to
nature atmosphere. We occupy probably the best 300 meter stretch
of beachfront along the coastline. A beautiful stretch of quiet
uncrowded sand. Our 14 thatched-roof cottages, inviting pool and
open air dining pavilion sit on almost two hectares of tropical
gardens skirting the beach. An enchanting place!

In case you are wondering if it is really windy at Windy Beach,
may we explain. “Windy” is the name of the establishment, not
because it is particularly windy, although the cool breezes off
the ocean can be very pleasant, but because it was named after
Dayu Windy, the late wife of the owner. She was Balinese and was
the main driving force behind the early development of the
hotel, in the mid-1980's.

Resort was the first hotel along the entire north-west coast,
between central Senggigi and Pemenang. It occupies probably the
best 300 meter stretch of beachfront along the coastline. A
beautiful stretch of quiet uncrowned sand. We are four
kilometers north of central Senggigi, the main tourist centre of
Lombok.
Owned by a Scotsman, we pride ourselves in being a small family
run enterprise which is ecotourism friendly. You will find our

The 14 cottages are located in a large tropical garden, with
many coconut palms, trees and shrubs, flower beds and wide
expanses of lawn. Each traditional-style thatched-roof cottage
consists of a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (toilet and
bath/shower) and sitting verandah. There are fans in each room
and air conditioners in the six Superior rooms.
Our aim is to provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in as
natural an environment as possible - "next to nature!" If you
want to "get away from it all" and to escape the hassle of
modern-day living, this could be the place for you. We are sure
that you will enjoy it here. It is the perfect place either for
a "do nothing" holiday, or as a base from which to tour Lombok.
We can also guarantee sunshine for most of the year.
There is good shade for those who do not wish to have too much
sun. Swimming is good, and safe, with little tidal current close
to shore. A coral reef skirts the beach and abounds with a
myriad variety of fish, so snorkeling is very interesting.
Just let yourself unwind - listen to the soothing music of the
waves caressing the beach and watch the beautiful sunsets, with
the sun sinking in the west behind Bali - and Gunung Agung, the
great volcano of Bali, providing a majestic and perfect
backdrop. There is no piped music. The only music is the sound
of the waves on the beach.
Our restaurant, which can seat up to 50, in this beautiful
seaside setting, is an open-sided Balinese pavilion with a
number of “berugak” (gazebos) along the beach front, which
provide a more private and intimate atmosphere for dining
(reservations advisable). It serves a wide variety of good food,
including Indonesian, Chinese and European dishes. Or just relax
there over a long cool drink.
A number of special day trips are available in our own vehicles.
We have a standard programmed of day trips to Senaru in the
north, Tetebatu in the east and Kuta in the south. We can also
arrange for other trips within Lombok, the eastern isles and
Bali. Come and enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday in this

Our Rates are

Cancellation Notice :
During Low Season
No Cancellation
Fee will be charged on cancellation received by us 10 days
prior to arrival date and for cancellation received less
than 10 days prior to arrival 1 (one) night room charge plus
applicable 21% for government tax & service charges will be
applied and in event of no show or on same day cancellation
notice is subject to full amount of total room booked.
During High & Peak Season (From 20th July to 31st August,
20th December to 5th January).
A cancellation fee of an amount equal to the entire value of
the booking will be applied for all cancellation less than
30 days of arrival.

Term and Condition : Minimum 3 nights stay required, No
Arrival and Departure on 31st December and on 1st January.

Extra-person charges may apply and vary depending on hotel
policy.

the time of check-in.

Photo identification and credit card or cash deposit are
required at check-in for incidental charges.

Special requests are subject to availability upon check-in and

Payment Procedure & Booking Confirmation

pleased to work on pre-payment system and therefore your
booking is automatically confirmed with confirmation number &
code, once you have done the wire transfer to our account.

will be made if you decide to check-out earlier than the
reservation made.
